Kurt Koerth, pastor and Bible teacher was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from Azusa Pacific University and received a teaching credential from Chapman University. He has served as senior pastor at Son Rise since 1995 and has taught elementary school since 1994. Kurt lives in Fullerton, California with his wife Amy and their four children: Kyle, Kendra, Kaylee, and Kandace, along with their 5th child on the way.

He has served as associate pastor at Son Rise since 1995 and has been living in Fullerton since 1999 with his wife Sue and their four children Nathan, McKenna, Melissa, and Melia.
