WWJD?

Martin Luther, “I have so much to do today that I must set apart more time than usual to pray.”
V.37 "Everyone is looking for you"
Luke 4:42 At daybreak Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them. 43 But he said, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent."

“Heal me. Forgive me. Save me, but don’t tell me what to do.”

Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

V.40 Scene II A desperate man
Luke 5:12 While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy.

The fate of a leper
Lev 13:45 "The person with such an infectious disease must wear torn clothes, let his hair be unkempt, cover the lower part of his face and cry out, 'Unclean! Unclean!' 46 As long as he has the infection he remains unclean. He must live alone; he must live outside the camp.
V.41•(See Lev. 13-14 on leprosy)

A touch of power a touch of love

Mother Teresa, “Being unwanted is the most terrible disease that human beings can experience,” “The only cure can lie in willing hands to serve and hearts to go on loving them.”

Two Commands
1. Don’t tell this to anyone
2. Go show yourself to the priest (Lev.14:2-31)

Matt 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

Are you unclean?
